Reading notes
The Names-of-Parents column is entered bride-first on this page: in entry 1 the line beside the groom John G. Vansychel reads 'Abm & Mary Ayers' and the line beside the bride Permina Ayers reads 'Abm & Cha[s] Vansychel'. Entry 2 follows the same order, so 'Robt Cooper' is the groom's father and 'Abm Dennis' the bride's - as FamilySearch's index also has it. Only the fathers are named; no mother appears for either party. The date cell reads 19 Dec 18[50] although the return's heading opens in June 185[1]; FamilySearch indexed the year as 1851. Both are recorded, not reconciled.

- No mother's name. The Names-of-Parents column gives fathers only for this couple, so the hope that it would name Sophia (and so tie [p.114] to the 1812 Robert x Sophia Sheffer marriage) is not met by this record.
- The date cell says Dec 19 / 50, against the index's 1851.
