Note (not on the document): Primary-source-confirms Oliver Perry Ludlow [p.1519] = a son of Stephen Ludlow [p.883] by his 1st wife Jane Porter [p.1511] — father "Stephen Ludlow, b. New Jersey" matches our Stephen exactly (b. NJ 1778), and the mother's maiden name "Jane Porter" matches his 1st wife. This resolves the [G.266] open question. It also means Stephen had TWO sons named Oliver: this Oliver Perry (1814, by Jane Porter) and Oliver Cooper [p.1036] (1837, by his 2nd wife) — a striking reuse of a given name across two marriages. Which of the two is L.4's single "Oliver" (cid 305) is ambiguous (see [p.883]).
