Russell Clerk. pp. 381–382 (imgs 204–205): "This Indenture made this fourteenth day of August … seventeen hundred ninety three Between Daniel Cooper of the County of Morris … and Daniel & Solomon Cooper sons of John Cooper deceased … fifty pounds … all that Tract or parcel of Land lying and being in said County situate North of Longhill in the Great swamp Beginning at the South West Corner of land in the possession of Jacobus Vanderveer and on the bank of a ditch known by the name of Stirling's ditch … to the Land of Daniel Cooper deceased … Containing by Estimation six Acres … Bounded on the East by Land of s[ai]d Vandeveer, on the South by Land of Peter Layton and the said Daniel & Solomon Cooper, on the West and North by Land of the said Daniel Cooper deceased …" Signed Daniel Cooper (L.S.); witnesses Benjamin Ludlow, George Cooper; proved 2 December 1794. pp. 383–384 (imgs 205–206): "This Indenture made this fourteenth day of August … seventeen hundred and ninety three Between George Cooper of the one part and Daniel Cooper and Solomon Cooper sons of John Cooper dec[eased] of the other part both of County and Township of Morris … twenty Pounds …" — a tract "on the South side of Longhill" beginning at the south-east corner of lands "belonging to the heirs of Daniel Cooper deceased", running to "the Highway on Longhill Leading from Baskenridge to Elizabeth Town", Peter Layton, thirty acres, bounded "South by lands now in possession of George Cooper"; witnesses Benj[amin] Ludlow, Alex[ande]r Stewart; recorded 31 Dec 1794. The relationship the pp. 384–389 deeds do not state is stated twice here, by a clerk, in words: Daniel Cooper Jun[r] and Solomon Cooper are "sons of John Cooper deceased". Two grantors are NOT identified by the deeds: the living "Daniel Cooper of the County of Morris" (no suffix) who quitclaims to the brothers, and George Cooper. Both quitclaim the same thirty-acre Long Hill tract on the same day. Recorded as found.
📌 the unsuffixed daniel cooper and daniel srs 1791 will
A comparison with [A.9], recorded as a comparison. Daniel Cooper Sr's will of 1 Feb 1791 (abstract, Calendar of Wills) devises to "Grandsons, Daniel Cooper and Solomon Cooper (sons of son John Cooper, dec'd), 28 acres lying in the great swamp whereon John Bruse now lives; also 6 acres northeast corner of land of Daniel Cooper, Jr., dec'd and the southwest corner of the land of James Van Derveer; also 23 acres in the long field running in straight course from said Daniel Cooper, Jr's corner to Peter Layton's line."
| 1791 will ([A.9]) | 14 Aug 1793 quitclaims from "Daniel Cooper of the County of Morris" (this entry) | |---|---| | 6 acres at the corner of Daniel Cooper Jr dec'd and James Van Derveer | six acres in the Great Swamp, beginning at the SW corner of land of Jacobus Vanderveer, bounded W and N by "Land of the said Daniel Cooper deceased" | | 23 acres from Daniel Cooper Jr's corner to Peter Layton's line | thirty acres on Long Hill, bounded W by "land of Daniel Cooper deceased", E by Peter Layton | | to "Daniel Cooper and Solomon Cooper (sons of son John Cooper, dec'd)" | to "Daniel Cooper Jun[r] & Solomon Cooper sons of John Cooper deceased" |
⇒ the grantor is releasing in 1793 the parcels Daniel Cooper Sr Daniel Sr devised to the same two grandsons in 1791 (Jacobus = James; the acreage of the second differs, 23 vs 30). The deed itself names no relationship, so the identification is argued and graded on Daniel Cooper Sr (probable), not asserted here.

Transcription and notes
The left page ends a deed in which Magdalen Cooper, a widow reserving her dower, and Joseph Manning convey to Daniel Cooper Jun[r] a fourth part of what they took under John Cooper's will. The right page is Daniel Cooper Jun[r] quitclaiming two Long Hill tracts to Solomon Cooper for £150, adjoining Peter Layton, George Cooper and the heirs of a deceased Daniel Cooper.
Who these people are is argued on [p.577].
