Know all men by these presents that David Sockrider and Sarah his wife of the County of Crawford and State of Ohio for and in the consideration of the sum of three hundred and seventy five dollars to them in hand paid by Israel & Samuel Cooper the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given granted bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant bargain sell alien release convey and confirm unto the said Israel and Samuel Cooper his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate and lying in the County and State aforesaid to wit the West half of the South east quarter of Section twelve in Township one South of Range fourteen in the District of Lands offered for sale in Tiffin Ohio containing eighty acres more or less To have and to hold the [above] described premises with their appurtenances to the said Israel & Samuel Cooper their heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of them the said Israel and Samuel Cooper their heirs and assigns forever And the said David Sockrider and Sarah for ourselves and heirs executors and administrators do covenant with the said Israel and Samuel Cooper their heirs executors administrators and assigns that at and until the execution hereof we are lawfully seized and possessed of the above described premises in fee simple that they are free from all incumbrances and that against all lawful claims and demands of any person or persons whomsoever the said premises to the said Israel and Samuel Cooper their heirs and assigns we will forever warrant and defend In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 8th day of June A.D. 1835 executed in presence of Jonathan Kear · Caroline Kear — David Sockrian [seal] · Sarah her X mark Sokrider [seal]

The State of Ohio Crawford County ss. Be it remembered that on the 8th day of June A.D. 1835 personally appeared before me Jonathan Kear a justice of the peace of the County aforesaid David Sockrider and Sarah his wife and acknowledged that they did voluntarily execute the foregoing deed for the purposes therein expressed She the said Sarah being of full age and being by me examined separate and apart from her said husband … declare that she voluntarily signed sealed and acknowledged the same and that she is still satisfied therewith In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year aforesaid — Jonathan Kear justice of the peace [seal]
