What this document records
Children
NAMES NO CHILDREN. An intestate administration abstract names administrators, the fellowbondsman, the witness and (here) the renouncing widow — it does not enumerate issue.
Relationships
STATES ONLY ONE. Ann Cooper is named "widow of Daniel Cooper, Jr." No relationship is given for Peter, William or John Cooper, who are qualified only as "all of said place". ⇒ that they are his sons or kin is an identification made elsewhere, not by this document.
Internal oddity
The inventory (27 June 1787) PREDATES the administration grant (10 July 1787) by 13 days. Recorded as the document's own sequence; no explanation is offered here.
Transcription and notes
Provenance, and what the abstract does not state, are in the source: and coverage:
headers. All identification of the people named — who Peter, William and John are, and that
the widow Ann is Anna "Nancy" Cross — lives on
p.79, with the estate context, the
Littell children roster and the follow-ups. This entry holds the abstract only.

2026-09-10 — the ORIGINAL packet is located, and it is restricted
This entry is the published ABSTRACT. The original is Morris County file
672N, per [A.33]'s reading of Aitkin's state index — "Cooper, Daniel, Jr., 672N. B. 29,
p. 472. Int. 1787. Inv. 1787. Ren. 1787." — and it sits on FamilySearch DGS 5657785
(film 550489, block 487N-673N), near images 880-891.
The reel is PADLOCKED: "Image Restricted — Image access is typically determined by local laws or the custodian who has the original document." The adjacent block is padlocked too, so the whole Morris N-series is restricted. See films/film.5657785.yaml and [A.171] t1 for the three access routes.
What the packet could add over this abstract: the bond and its sureties, the renunciation as signed by Ann Cooper, and any account of distribution — the last of which is the only document that would name [p.79]'s children beyond the three Coopers already here.
