What this document records
Five renderings
ONE ESTATE, FIVE DOCUMENTS, AND THEY ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE. (1) the loose-paper original will and inventory, NJSA File 210J; (2) the recorded copy, Burlington Prerogative Office Lib. 6 p. 89, Chas. Read Reg.; (3) the HCHS image scan of the will body, DGS 8940743 images 33-35; (4) Honeyman's abstracts at Vol. XXX p. 114 and Vol. XXXII p. 72; (5) the separate guardianship file 437J of 1758. ⇒ per the source hierarchy, cite 210J for the will's words and the inventory; Honeyman only for what the abstract itself asserts.
No daniel cooper autograph
THE PRIORITY-1 SIGNATURE GOAL IS NOT ACHIEVABLE FROM THIS ESTATE, AND THAT IS SETTLED. Daniel Cooper is named an Overseer, not an executor or a witness — and overseers do not sign a will. Only Emanuel signed; the three witnesses attested. ⇒ no Daniel Cooper autograph exists anywhere in this file, in any of the five renderings. Recorded plainly so the handwriting hunt is not re-run here; the autograph that does exist is on [A.68].
He actually served
AND HE DID NOT MERELY STAND BY. The 1757 executors' account in File 210J itemises "By monies paid Daniel Cooper, Trustee, for his Service". ⇒ he acted in settling the estate and was paid for it — a sustained involvement from the 1748/9 will to the 1757 settlement, about nine years. This supersedes the older reading of the Honeyman disbursement-list mention as "context unspecified": the account says what the payment was for.
Which daniel cooper
THE DOCUMENT SAYS ONLY "Daniel Cooper". The identification with Daniel Cooper Sr Daniel Sr of Long Hill is argued on Daniel Cooper Sr and Emanuel Coryell, not asserted here.
The falsified hypothesis
DO NOT REBUILD THE CAMP HILL SUPERSTRUCTURE. This 1745/1748 Cooper-Coryell tie was once the foundation of a "125-year network culminating in 1870s J. D. Cooper of Camp Hill PA" hypothesis ([pr.78]). Falsified 2026-05-18 — [J.136]'s Carlisle obituary shows J. D. Cooper of Camp Hill is John Draper Cooper of the Wyoming Valley line ([fam.8]), unrelated. The 1748 Cooper-Coryell datum stands on its own as the earliest primary-source-attested Cooper-Coryell trust relationship; the edifice built on it does not.
L31 was wrong
[L.31] IDENTIFIED FILE 437J AS "Emanuel's will". IT IS NOT — it is the 1758 guardianship of two of his children. The will is 210J, recorded at Lib. 6 p. 89.
Transcription and notes
Provenance across the five renderings, the fact that no Daniel Cooper autograph exists here,
the "Trustee, for his Service" finding, the falsified Camp Hill hypothesis and the [L.31] file-ID
error are all in the source: and coverage: headers and are not repeated here. The
Cooper–Coryell relationship is argued on [p.1] and [p.26].
