Notes (identifications → people files; not verbatim)
- "Elizabeth Gaines dec'd (formerly Cooper) … the division of her father's estate (the late Daniel Cooper dec'd)" — LOCKS [p.850] Elizabeth as a daughter of Daniel Cooper III [p.737] (certain, primary source), and establishes that Daniel III's estate was formally DIVIDED among his heirs, the record being in the Scott Co. Court Clerk's office → the estate-division/partition is the pull that would enumerate ALL Daniel III's heirs + allotments.
- The "Coopers" (1/3) = Reuben Houghton Cooper's [p.844] four sons (Daniel III's grandsons; Reuben, their father + Elizabeth's brother, d. ~1861) — with wives: [John] W. Cooper [p.911] × Kate E.; William B. Cooper [p.913] × Anna J.; Daniel Cooper [p.914] × Mary P.; S. L. (Steven Letcher) Cooper [p.909] × Rebecca H. (Evans). ⇒ confirms all four married (resolving the [p.844] reconciliation flag — the one tree that doubted it was wrong) and places them in Fayette/Scott Co. KY in 1878. Big for pr.14: the Daniel-III Y-line has four adult-son branches, not just John Wallace's.
- The "Emisons" (1/3) = Mary Ann (Cooper) Emison's [p.849] children: William G. Emison × Lucy J. + Stephen C. Emison [p.1047] × Julia V. (Madden). William G. Emison also acts as atty-in-fact for the Missouri Emisons. William G. Emison here is an EMISON heir of a Cooper estate ⇒ a son of Mary Ann [p.849] = a Cooper descendant. He is very likely [p.1048] "William Quarles Emison × Lucy" — which, if so, resolves p.1048's maternity toward Mary Ann/Cooper (the Emison book called the p.345-POA atty "William Quarles Emison," this deed calls him "William G."; middle initial G vs Q is the open discrepancy).
- Grantee William B. Gaines (Scott Co.) — distinct from Elizabeth's husband William Gaines (life-tenant per her will [A.110]); likely a Gaines relative acquiring the tract (he holds/buys the remaining 1/3).
