No Cooper / Couper / Vaucourt / Runyon / Coryell as a SURNAME taking the oath. Only "cooper" appears as occupational descriptor for 4 men: Daniel Bontecou (NYC), Pierre Bertain (New Rochelle), Pieter Anient (NY), Matthias Benter (NY apprentice age 14).

What this source establishes

1. New Rochelle French Reformed Church 1703-1712 records — Cooper-name NULL extends F.74 NULL backward 23 years

The pre-1722 New Rochelle records (= the most relevant unsearched window for Daniel + Anne Cooper's birth-cohort participation) are now PRIMARY-SOURCE-CONFIRMED clean of Cooper / Couper / Vaucourt / Runyon entries across: - 13 marriages 3 May 1703 – 1 January 1711 - ~35-40 baptisms 9 March 1702/3 – 21 September 1712 - All officiated by Rev. Daniel Bondet

Per F.74's paste-in-note statement that "for records earlier than these [1722-1765], see N.Y. G+B" the only earlier records would be at NYG&B Society (= an unsearched repository, but one that would have to overlap with this NYHS-published 1703-1712 manuscript material).

Combined coverage: New Rochelle French Reformed Church 1703-1765 surviving registers = clean of Cooper / Couper / Vaucourt / Runyon at primary-source level.

2. 1715 NY Colony Naturalization List — Daniel Cooper Sr should be on this list IF foreign-born; he is NOT

The 1715 Naturalization Act required all foreign-born Protestant inhabitants to take the Oath of Allegiance + Abjuration Oath to acquire citizenship. Per I.36 family tradition Daniel Cooper Sr was born Holland 1695 = foreign-born = age 20 in 1715 = naturalization-eligible.

Daniel Cooper does not appear in the 1715 NY Colony Naturalization List (~80 entries 12 July 1715 – 14 February 1715/16, covering New Rochelle + Manor of Pelham + NY City + Westchester + Tappan + Phillipsburgh + Dutchess County + Eastchester + Staten Island). The list is comprehensive across the Hudson-Bergen-Westchester-NJ corridor where Daniel Sr's family-tradition residence would have been.

Possible explanations: 1. Daniel Sr was native-born NJ (not Holland-born as family tradition claims) = consistent with v189 falsification of Bergen-NJ-immigrant Cooper line for him; he didn't need naturalization 2. Daniel Sr was naturalized earlier (1683 NY Naturalization Act, or 1700 Maryland act, or NJ-jurisdiction earlier) — possible but unconfirmed 3. Daniel Sr was naturalized later (subsequent NY Naturalization Acts 1719, 1729, 1735, 1740) — possible; would surface in subsequent NYHS Quarterly Bulletin volumes 4. Daniel Sr's naturalization record exists in NJ jurisdiction (separately from NY 1715 Naturalization Act) — possible; NJ Provincial naturalization records 1700-1740 exist at NJ State Archives and would need separate search 5. Daniel Sr never formally naturalized (lived as alien resident; possible if he did not own real estate or hold office) — possible but unusual for someone who became JP and Sheriff per I.36 6. Family-tradition narrative is wrong about Holland-birth — = consistent with v189 + v190 reframing

Combined with v189 + v190 negative findings: highly likely that Daniel Sr was NOT foreign-born; the I.36 "Holland-born 1695" tradition is most parsimoniously interpreted as drift over 250+ years of oral retelling.

3. Combined 7-tradition consilience-NEGATIVE now established

Combined with M.1-F.74 plus this F.75:

Tradition Source Window Verdict
Bergen Reformed Dutch Church M.1 1666-1788 NULL
Tappan + Clarkstown Reformed Dutch Church F.70 1694-1816 + 1749-1794 NULL
Hackensack Reformed Dutch Church M.2 1686-1799 NULL
NYC Collegiate Reformed Dutch Church F.72 1639-1730 NULL
NYC French Reformed (St-Esprit) M.25 1688-1804 NULL
New Rochelle French Reformed (Trinity) F.74 1726-1765 NULL
New Rochelle French Reformed pre-1722 + 1715 NY Naturalization M.22 (this entry) 1703-1712 + 1715 NULL

= 7-source primary-source consilience-NEGATIVE for Daniel Cooper Sr's family in the major French-/Dutch-Reformed-/Anglican-naturalization-tracking primary sources of the NYC-Bergen-Hudson-Westchester corridor 1639-1804.

4. NEW datum on Pierre Bertain (Bertin) of New Rochelle

F.74's recurring godparent Pierre Bertain (= F.74's 1726 baptism witness recurring 1726-1765) is now primary-source-attested at three earlier dates:

Catalog impact: F.75 establishes a 1705-1715 primary-source-grade arc of Pierre Bertain's life (b. France → m. New Rochelle 1705 → father 1709-1710 → naturalized 1715 with cooper-trade attestation), continuing into F.74's 1726-1765 multi-decade godparent attestations.

This is collateral catalog data about a known F.74 figure. Pierre Bertain is NOT Daniel Cooper Sr's family but represents the typical French-Reformed New Rochelle community pattern that the Cooper family conspicuously did not participate in.
