Result: FOUND → [D.850] (1910) and [D.851] (1920), both images downloaded, filed and read on
census_stitch bands. He is a locomotive engineer in both, a wage worker, and renting in both. [D.850] gives the catalog its first record-based bound on his marriage: column 9 reads 6 years of present marriage and column 8 M1 for both him and Sadie ⇒ married about 1903-04, a FIRST marriage for each. AND A CONFLICT, RECORDED NOT RESOLVED — his father's birthplace. 1910 says Pennsylvania; 1920 says New Jersey. The 1920 plate shows how such an error is made: in column 19 the enumerator wrote "Penn", struck it through, and finished "New Jersey" — for Lester's OWN birthplace. One of the two father's-birthplace entries is wrong and this sheet shows the slip being made and caught on the same question.
