- FamilySearch, "Minnesota, Deaths, 1887-2001", index record 1:1:CY2R-FZ6Z (attached in the Family Tree to George Monroe Cooper 1830-1913, 99ZS-2PG). CORRECTED 2026-10-15: this said "No image is linked (Check Image Availability)", which read as though no image exists. AN IMAGE DOES EXIST. Pressing that button returns "Image Available - To view these images do one of the following: Access the site at a FamilySearch center. You may be able to view this image by visiting one of our partner's sites or the legal record custodian." So the certificate is SCANNED and is FamilySearch-Centre-restricted, not absent. That matters because [p.162] records a live conflict - the notice [J.391] and stone [G.153] give 12 Dec 1913, this index gives 13 Dec - and says in terms that "the certificate image would settle it". Added to the FHC trip checklist. The certificate itself is held by the Minnesota Historical Society / Minnesota Department of Health. The same event is also indexed from the FATHER's side at 1:1:CY2R-FZN2 ("Joseph Cooper mentioned in the Record of George Cooper"), found 2026-10-15 while searching for the Joseph x Elsie marriage. Same certificate 9827, different ark.
