What this document records

Why it exists

IT IS A SECOND, INDEPENDENT CAPTURE OF THE SAME DOCKET — useful because the earlier 9-page PDF is incomplete: it does not contain the supplementary inventory page that [A.3] transcribes. ⇒ for that document the film capture is the only route.

The misnamed file

ONE CAPTURED FILE IS NAMED WRONG AND IS LEFT WRONG. (archive file) shows a page dated February, verified at high zoom 2026-05-15 (see [A.3]). Rename on the next file pass; recorded here so the mismatch is not mistaken for a second document.

Transcription and notes

Provenance, why a second capture of an already-catalogued docket is worth keeping, and the misnamed file are all in the source: and coverage: headers and are not repeated here. The documents' verbatim contents are in [A.1]–[A.4].

A-520 (image held in the family archive) TWO inventories on one image (top + bottom panels). ** Date RESOLVED 2026-05-15 via maintainer high-res zoom: both panels read "February the 18[th] 1795 An Inventory of Goods on the premises of Benj's Cooper Late [of Lebanon]" — date is FEBRUARY 18, 1795 (NOT January 13/14 as v195 first-pass low-res reading suggested). My v195 "Jan 13/14" reading was a misread of cursive "February" (looping "F" can resemble "J" at low resolution). Top: items include 2 pitchforks, 1 raw hide, 3 rakes, beetle & wedge & axe, rocking cradle, 2 casks salted meat, dressing glass razors & box, warming pan, Mr Cooper's Wearing Apparel — £2. 5. 0, 1 half bushel, 1 old [plow] & shear. Bottom signature: Dennis Wickoff, Appraiser. = A.3 supplementary inventory** at primary-source register/loose-paper-FHC-capture level; the A.3 date "February 18, 1795" STANDS. Filename "Jan 1795" in moved file is stale and should be corrected on next pass.
A-521 (image held in the family archive) Court endorsement signed by J. Throckmorton, Surrogate. = A.2 page 8 sworn statement OR A.4 page 2 sworn account
A-522 (image held in the family archive) Inventory/account page with column for £, s, d showing values; header indicates Lebanon location. candidate match to A.4 page 3 ledger OR an additional un-cataloged account page
