The parents columns are empty
THE UP-LINK TEST IS NULL. Both "Parents' Names" columns read "Not Reported", so the return names neither Roderick's father nor Rosetta's. The Roderick to John Cooper John of Independence link therefore rests on the censuses and [L.132], and stays probable; it is not primary-source-locked here. Returns of this period, made by the officiating clergyman rather than by the parties, commonly leave the parents' columns unfilled.
