What this attests

This 1793 newspaper notice independently corroborates Elias Coryell's residence on Long Hill, Morris County, NJ at primary-source level. The notice is dated 2 July 1793, two years before Daniel Cooper Sr.'s death (2 May 1795), placing both Daniel Sr (= testator at Long Hill) and Elias Coryell (= named executor of Daniel Sr's 1791 will per A.8) on the same Long Hill landscape concurrently.

Combined with I.44 Carile Santos Coriell-Coryell Family p. 66 (Elias Coryell "Settled on Long Hill on Lot of Berkeley Tract adjoining Solomon Boyle's tract") and I.4 Littell p. 90 (Daniel Cooper Sr "bought lot No. 2 of the Berkeley tract, containing 500 acres, lying east of and adjoining the quarter owned by Jacob Carle"), the catalog now has multi-source consilience that Daniel Sr and Elias Coryell were Berkeley-tract Long Hill neighbors c. 1782-1795.
