Every previous 1930 search on this file was under Cooper. Collection 6224 (1930 United States Federal Census), three searches, every row of each one read: (a) surname Trinca, no given name, residence Sussex County, New Jersey - _sussex-new+jersey-usa_2837 with residence_x=1-0-0_1-0, the verified id from [[feedback_ancestry_place_recipe_when_names_are_garbled]], and the returned URL's slug was read back and matched - 3 rows; (b) Myrtle_Trinca, no place - 33 rows; (c) Jos*_Trinca with the surname exact, no place - 2 rows.

Result: NOT FOUND UNDER EITHER SURNAME. THE GAP STAYS OPEN AND IS NOW BOUNDED ON TWO SIDES. (a) The only Trincas in the whole of Sussex County in 1930 are ONE household at Green Township - John B Trinca (head, b. abt 1904 N.J.), Anna M (wife, b. abt 1909 N.Y.) and John (son, b. abt 1930 N.J.). No Joseph, no Myrtle. The count of 3 is county-sized, not collection-sized, which is the check that the place filter actually bit. (John B., born about 1904, is of an age to be the groom's brother - noted, not claimed.) (b) No Myrtle Trinca exists anywhere in the 1930 index. All 33 rows are M-initial matches across the variant surnames - Lena M Trinca, Anna M Trinca, Mildred M Trinka, Emily M Trenco, Josephine M Trinco, and a long tail of French/Trench. Not one is a Myrtle. (c) No Joseph or Joe Trinca anywhere in the 1930 index - the two rows are both Josephine, at Vineland N.J. and Buffalo N.Y. => SHE IS NOT UNDER COOPER (searched 2026-10-25, recorded below) AND NOT UNDER TRINCA. The explanations left are a mangled surname - the variants above show how readily this one mangles - or that they were not at Swartswood on 1 April, the licence having stated an intention thirteen days earlier. Result: NOT FOUND. The only Sussex County row returned is Eva M Cooper, wife of Albert S at Newton - that is Albert S Cooper's household, not hers. Every Myrtle Cooper of her age is in Maryland, Missouri, Kentucky, Montana, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, California, Texas, Tennessee, Minnesota, Illinois, South Dakota or Louisiana; the one New Jersey Myrtle Cooper is a wife at Trenton, born about 1914. SO SHE IS UNPLACED IN BOTH 1930 AND 1940 UNDER HER OWN SURNAME - BUT SEE THE CANDIDATE BELOW, which would explain 1940 entirely: a Myrtle Trinca, wife, aged 30, is enumerated at Andover in the household IMMEDIATELY NEXT DOOR to her mother and sister on the same sheet ([D.883] household 69 against their 68), and Ancestry's own panel ties "Mrs Myrtle Trinca" to her birth-index row. It is NOT adopted - [D.883] t3. She is demonstrably back at Andover Township by 1950, where Warren Edgar Cooper records her still as Myrtle E Cooper. AND THAT COMPLETES A PATTERN WORTH STATING. Of Warren Edgar Cooper's four surviving children, Roland Warren Cooper Roland and Verna M. (Cooper) Mark Verna are in every enumeration, and Adolph Stephen Cooper Adolph and this one are missing from 1930 - Adolph from 1940's Sussex rows too, though he is found at Wantage. Both of the missing two are single adults who had left the parental house, and neither is traceable in the indexes by name in their own county. That is a characteristic of unmarried adults in service or lodging, not evidence of anything, and it tells the next searcher to look for them as LODGERS and SERVANTS in other people's households rather than as heads.

The only Sussex rows the search returns are Ettaeva M Cooper (Newton, abt 1909) and Elizabath M Cooper (Wantage, abt 1914), matched on other criteria; every Myrtle Cooper of her age is in Georgia, Florida, New York, Texas, Alabama, the Carolinas, Massachusetts, Illinois or California. AND THE PARENT SEARCH EXPLAINS WHY IT COULD NOT HAVE HELPED. Searching 1930 for father Warren Cooper + mother Carrie returns exactly two people - Roland Cooper and Verna Mark, both Andover, both already in [D.879]. The 1930 index populates parent names only for someone enumerated WITH their parents, so it can confirm a household and can never locate a child who has left it. => TWO of Warren Edgar's four surviving children are unlocated in 1930 - this one at 19 and Adolph Stephen Cooper Adolph at 30, whose identical null is recorded on his own file.
