Chosen deliberately over the place recipe because no Otter Tail Co. gazetteer id was in hand, and two guessed ids earlier the same afternoon had silently resolved to the wrong state.

Result: FOUND → [D.844]. Blowers Twp, ED 56-5 sheet 5A, household 72 — she is 62, relation Mother, WIDOWED, in her son Clyde's household. A daughter Clarin, 18 (b. ~1922) the catalog did not have. AND THE REAL FIND IS THE LODGER: Brill, Lester, 22, born Minnesota — Laura Elbertine (Cooper) Brill Laura Elbertine's youngest son, 1½ on [D.842] and 11 on [D.843]. Laura died 21 December 1937, and two and a half years later her son is living with her sister's family. ⇒ The two Cooper sisters' descendants are documented under one roof, which no record before this showed. The schedule calls him only "Loger" and states no kinship; the identification rests on name, age, birth state and the two prior censuses. She is a widow — Henry Imsande died 1920×1940. Result: FOUND → [D.845]. Blowers Twp, ED 56-5 page 4, house 18 / dwelling 36, a farm — still Mother in Clyde's household, 72, widowed. Florence, the 1-year-old of [D.844], is now 11; a son Howard, 4, is new; Clarin and Lester Brill have both left. She fell on a SAMPLE LINE, so her parents' birthplaces were asked — and both are wrong: father Illinois, mother Minn (he was New Jersey, she Ontario). That makes three different answers from her own households (Ohio/Ohio 1910, ?/Canada 1920, Illinois/Minnesota 1950), and her sister adds a fourth (New Jersey/Connecticut, [D.843]). Recorded as a rule rather than four puzzles: no parental-birthplace column in either sister's household is evidence. The trustworthy statements come from the censuses where the parents were themselves enumerated — [D.659] above all. Ancestry indexes them Imsando; the plate reads Imsande — an index error, not a variant, and the opposite case to [D.842]'s Lowery.
